John began his financial career in 2001 and has spent the past 20 years as a financial professional dedicated to CWA Members. John has helped CWA members maximize their retirement and plan for their financial future by keeping himself current with CWA contracts and benefits. At Blue Ocean Wealth Solutions, our mission is “Changing people’s lives”, and John strives to do this by establishing and maintaining long-term relationships, understanding the unique needs of each client, and finding comprehensive solutions.
Before joining Blue Ocean, John worked at Edward Jones and MetLife. John is Series 7 and 66 licensed, as well as a licensed Life, Accident, and Health Insurance agent. John’s experience and understanding of Wealth Management drove him to establish his own Investment Committee in 2014. His Investment Committee is comprised of himself and several money managers from leading firms who meet quarterly to discuss their custom investment models, focusing on the needs and best interests of their clients in today’s market. John is also a Wealth Management Conference qualifier.
John is the proud father of Jake, McKenzie, and Ella, and enjoys actively participating in their many activities, or spending his free time on the golf course.
Ryan specializes in wealth management and life insurance strategies for individuals and families. Ryan has worked in Financial Services for over six years and previously worked in Manhattan where he focused on financial planning for people in the staffing industry. Ryan understands that no two people are the same and takes pride in educating his clients on the best solutions available for their personalized needs. He currently holds Series 6 and 63 licenses as well as his Life, Accident and Health Insurance license.
Ryan attended the University of Maryland where he was a four-year letter winner on the varsity lacrosse team. He currently resides in East Atlantic Beach and in his free time enjoys golfing, training in martial arts and traveling.
Eric James Niclas
Eric began his career in the financial services industry back in 2008. He built a successful practice with a focus on estate planning, insurance, and wealth management. The primary role that Eric took on when joining the Murphy Team two years ago was to make those same strategies available to CWA members. Eric is Series 7 and 63 licensed, along with having his life, accident, and health insurance license, in addition to his property and casualty license.
Because of Eric’s ability to offer a broad spectrum of insurance products, one of the ways that he helps CWA members prepare for retirement in the future, is by reallocating dollars now. It is a strategy that has helped many of his clients retire on time, but more importantly, retire confidently. For any CWA member, Eric will offer a complementary review of their current insurance portfolio, and if there are ways to cut costs and save dollars, he takes advantage of those savings by reallocating those dollars towards products and programs that will help grow a clients net worth for the future.
Eric is one of the few people who actually grew up in Montauk, and now lives in Northport with his wife and two young children. In his spare time, Eric enjoys playing golf and serving his community through his church and local chamber of commerce.
Julia is the Manager of Marketing and Client Relations for The Murphy Team. She is responsible for executing and overseeing the teams marketing campaigns as well as establishing strong internal and external working relationships through direct communication with clients.
Julia attended the State University of New York at Oneonta where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Computer Art. She is also licensed in Life, Accident, and Health insurance and is a Notary Public.
